When trying to save a TIFF image, gThumb gives an error saying: Image

This problem also exists in Eye of Gnome and you get a more descriptive

I totally forgot about the \ trick.
But please do reconsider reopening this bug. the fact remains that tar
and rsync (two basic archiving utilities) failed to backup those files.
hmm, maybe I should have opened the bug for rsync and tar (cause they
don't know how to process a name with : in it).
and right after I made the changes... :( I realized it's still not
correct. please reject those 2 packages. I'm sorry about that.
Please add nautilus (for the failure to directly copy the files) and
file-roller because those are the packages that couldn't handle the

I can confirm this bug with gaim 1:1.5.0+1.5.1cvs20051015-1ubuntu10 on Dapper.
Using 1:2.0.0+beta3.1-1ubuntu6 and Edgy no problems at all, as stated in gaim
bug report here attached too.

Unsubscribe doesn't work by sending mail. You have to go the bug page
and click the Unsubscribe link in upper left corner.

[edgy] gnome
Fix released upstream corresponds to Fix Commited for the
distribution usually, the fix is released to Ubuntu when a fixed package
is uploaded. Anyway that bug is fixed to edgy, closing it is correct
then
