Apologies, I guess what I meant to ask was whether anyone was working to
fix this. I consider it broken because figuring out how to launch the
groups tool in the presence of this bug isn't easily discoverable. You
can run it under gksudo at a command line but you still need to figure
out that
This is fixed in Edgy.

Since I upgraded from dapper to edgy, totem won't display the dvd menus,
it plays it from beginning to end, without asking me anything. I tried
with 3 dvds and it worked with dapper.
So I'll use xine.
Totem still needs a lot of work as the plugin is far from being perfect

Just an FYI, I had this same problem. I did an upgrade from Dapper to
Edgy as well.
I suspected that there was some incompatibility so I removed all themes
from my ~/.themes and /usr/share/themes and then reinstalled the ones I
cared about. This fixed the problem.

There IS a lot of oscar stuff in those backtraces... but since Gaim
loads fine when the evolution plugin is not loaded, the oscar stuff is
probably just a coincidence.
I'm don't really know what the next step would be in debugging this.
I'm not familiar with Evolution or Gaim's Evolution plugin

I encountered this when doing a partial upgrade to edgy for things like

by upgrading libnss3 to the version in edgy then purging firefox and
reinstalling it. I got the idea to do that from a suggestion for FC at
