After reboot it seems that all changes I made in alacarte was applied to
the menu. So although the alacarte UI and the menu itself didn't display
any changes, they would appear after a reboot, and I could also use
alacarte properly after the reboot.
Now I'm back to square one again however, I

I made a tool used to unfreeze process (and watch periodically) : survfutex

check that it works (normaly it would). It is using the ptrace(2) syscall to

It doesn't happen with network-manager uninstalled! How did you know?!
window freeze: when I click any button (including cancel!), the button

Found it! ;-)
pkg-config checks libgphoto2 that needs libgphoto2_port (both provided
by libgphoto2-dev package). libgphoto2-port0 binary package depends on
libusb-0.1-4 binary package but libgphoto2-dev DOESN'T depend on libusb-
dev. pkg-config check of libgphoto2_port.pc fails because it can't

architecture do you use? That file doesn't crash nautilus on my i386
feisty desktop. Could you get a backtrace

That bug is not easy to fix because we lack informations on it, it
happens randomly to different people and not that often, would be nice
to get a valgrind log for it though. One way is to try running gnome-
panel with valgrind until catching something useful, you are welcome to

If we can simplify the life of the casual user, I cannot see why not to
do it -- mostly if it is a question of activating an existing option.
Nevertheless, the wording should still change to something like HP Jet
Direct/Raw device.
Just saying HP Jet Direct confuses the hell out of someone that
