Right! It turns out that my lo interface _was_ the culprit after all. It
seems GDM wanted to use ipv6, which my firewall script blindly dropped.
Now that I have changed it to accept ipv6 packets to/from the lo
interface, all is well again!

I had removed beryl and compiz a few weeks ago before upgrading. I
reinstalled through Synaptic yesterday and Metacity is running again
and my desktop has returned to its previous status. It is worth noting
that my system had hung a few times during the upgrade from the screen
saver kicking on

I played on the new Nibbles games (with feisty). Good ideas (diamond,
dual-snakes). But I saw a bug, the game doesn't quit when I lost. When I
lost? The number of lives isn't printed on screen.

I had a similar problem ripping from a CD that had two blank track
names. Once SoundJuicer got to the first nameless track, it choked and
crashed. Not sure if this is caused by the same issue, but sounds like
it could be.

Using Evolution 2.10.1 in Feisty.
I have evolution configured to use my exchange server and normal
operations are fine. When I try to connect to another users folder the
dialogue pops up for more details. I enter the users name which is

Evolution hangs temporarily,
I reproduced the bug this evening.
I logged in, moved the .gnome2/session file away, turned off session-saving,
logged out and logged back in. Everything was back to normal then. When
examining the session-file, there was no line for metacity (while there is one
when everything is normal).
