So far, I have seen no link in the crashes except the point at which the
crash happens, and as a result I haven't found a trigger. However, bug

When I try to search for certain e-mails, such as those with Open
Source in the subject line, it displays all of those e-mails, as it

To what memory usage from top do you compare? Looks like you are just
displaying the wrong column in gnome-system-monitor, you can activate
the virtual memory, the writable or the shared one if you want. The
memory column doesn't count the shared usage
