[Bug 114498] Re: MASTER GTK font sizes too large or too small
** Summary changed: - GTK font selection minimum size is too large for 150dpi screens + MASTER GTK font sizes too large or too small ** Description changed: + + Potential Workaround: + == + + about:config and setting layout.css.dpi = 0 + + + Original summary + = + Binary package hint: libgtk2.0-0 I've recently upgraded to Gutsy, and the fonts in my programs became larger. This is actually good: GTK is now paying attention to the DPI of my screen. However, my screen has an absurd DPI (147x145; 1920x1200 @ 15.4), and I don't need large fonts, so I set my font size smaller. I noticed that all GTK font selection dialogs have a minimum size of 8.0, which is actually still at bit large (compared to pixel density). It's possible to manually enter a lower value (and I did), but I think that a few values lower than 8 should be present, especially because more high-pixel-density panels are expected in the future. ** Summary changed: - MASTER GTK font sizes too large or too small + GTK font selection minimum size is too large for 150dpi screens ** Description changed: - - Potential Workaround: - == - - about:config and setting layout.css.dpi = 0 - - - Original summary - = - Binary package hint: libgtk2.0-0 I've recently upgraded to Gutsy, and the fonts in my programs became larger. [Bug 4405] update-notifier swallows keyboard focus
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Description of the problem: The update-notifier applet seems to have the ability to swallow keyboard focus. Once swallowed the keyboard focus is never seen again in that panel. Steps to reproduce (tricky): 1. Focus the top expanded edge panel at the top of the screen with the notification area in it (I usually do this using ctrl-alt-tab). 2. Press tab and check where the keyboard focus is (usually on the the firefox globe). 3. Use tab to progress to the notification area. Expected results: Dotted outline around each thing in notification area, or dotted outline around empty grey area if notification area is empty. Actual results: No dotted outline appears around anything. Pressing tab does not move to the next widget in the panel practically impossible to get keyboard focus back to the top panel again. [Bug 128776] nautilus crash because cannot locate bonobo factory

[Bug 128807] Evince is broken display latex in PDFs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince Hi, I updated my gutsy/AMD64 install around the end of June, and suddenly incurred a lot of PDF problems. One problem that remains is that evince can no longer view PDF files created by latex. What happens is that the entire page of document text now display in the upper left quarter of the screen, while the rest is blank. On the other hand, images display correctly. If I zoom in, then the images get larger, but the text does not. Additionally, math text works OK (e.g. math fonts, math symbols). The PDF documents display correctly in acroread (on another machine) or in xpdf (on this machine). But Evince displays the test incorrectly. well, actually, i wouldnt know how to reproduce the bugit just happens when vino is up and running... it took me a while to figure this out since vino wasnt actually showing any performance degrading... when the server was runningbeing connected to it (or not), performance would degrade with time. the process being problematic when vino is running, is not vino itself, but xorg. could it be xorg at fault instead of vino? killing vino fixes the issue for me. ive been tracking xorg's logs and the kernel logs for a while trying to figure out what the problem could be, vino isnt in them. i ended up killing vino by chance. and presto. -- when vino is running for several hours, performance degrades, making xorg to eat up cpu usage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/125179 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
