Background: I've got a 1-line, 4-column panel setup, running compiz, on
Gutsy.
How to reproduce:
- Open a new window.
- Move the window so that part of it is outside the right edge of the desktop.
- right-click the window handle or panel
A kernel patch [1] is queued up for 2.6.25 that implements DMI-based
autoloading of the dcdbas-module.
This means that this issue will, in time, be resolved.

I have something similiar, but I'm not sure it is the same or not.
Here's my case after upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy.
When I load netvibes in firefox and dragging the widget, it is showing
very high cpu-usage (nearly 100%). This phenomenon happened when I was
viewing large image using comix and

there's something missing on my box before dbus and hal starting..

- It only happens since update to 0.11.2 of Rhythmbox.
- It is still possible to play random files from Jamendo (double-click on
jamendo).

When I tried to make evince crash with gdb running evince froze, but

/var/log/syslog messages on the client side attached. The server side does not
log anything to /var/log/syslog. Changing to simple (einfach in german)

Just to confirm - I'm having same problem as Aleksander and Sebastian -
also from Poland. This bug makes all date/calendar components useless. I
think it's connected with data/time format - evolution in Gutsy doesn't
like our locale settings.

I was seeing very slow Gnome load times as well.
After reading a misconfigured loopback comment above, I checked my
network interface settings, and sure enough, I had configured a static
IP address for my ethernet interface and the slow startup would happen
only when I didn't have the ethernet
it is still not possible to select an icq contact in gutsy.

Fixing the init scripts I saw that klogd was blocking the booting process. I
googled for starting kernel daemon and came here

Just having the totem-fullscreen all the time now. But will try with a
new user soon.

Attached is the output of the command. I am not sure if there is any
back trace in that or not.
However, I feel there is some connection with the nfs mounts here. I am
running ubuntu on the laptop and having some folders mounted via nfs and
i put my laptop to sleep and bring it to my office.

After some good help from the Forums, I have sound on my Gateway Solo 2500
laptop. Inserting an audio CD brings up the player and music is heard - but
only for the first track. At the end of track 1, the player quits and hangs.
