installed the alpha 6 updates everything is OK now. Except when you mount
a new partition from the Places - Computer window it opens a second

Yes, gdk-pixbuf supports WMF files so long as libwmf is installed. There
appeared to be a similar issue reported at bugs.debian.org/263911; I do
have libwmf installed, and it contains a loader... but it doesn't seem
to work. Running gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders shows the following:

Same problem here on a powerbook g4.
Actually you can login. But it seems that the font/text is 'invisible.'
Try blindly logging in. Type in your user name and return. Type in
password and return. You should see the cursor move down several lines
as you login.

Seems to be really only a problem of the colors. Text and background colors are

Confirm with a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro V3205 - same message
I removed the last bracket in line 19 of
/usr/share/acpi-support/FUJITSU SIEMENS.config
now it installs properly.

Using lshal | grep quirk you can see which quirks HAL has enabled for
your computer. If you suspend using pm-suspend and these quirks you
should see exactly the same behaviour as when using the gnome logout
menu.

Actually, I can't tell if it's broken or not in alpha6 because I get
this error: ERROR: Xnest not found. I couldn't find Xnest using either
apt-get or the synaptic package manager. Where do I get Xnest?

I haven't been able to trigger the bug at will either. it seems intermittent.
If it starts happening again I'll pay close attention to what I'm doing. It
first started
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused me to encounter the
problem:
1.1. Tell Nautilus to go to the computer. (Or tell GNOME to browse the
computer).
The computer contains the CD-ROM drive.
1.2. Tell the CD-ROM drive to eject.
