The new libasound2 package makes it better, but doesn't actually fix the

I have this problem on my computer at work but on none of my other

Yep, it works now that's patched (using gvfs 0.2.3). The only thing different
i've noticed is a slightly slow access time, as wolfwitch stated (about 3~4
seconds).

I had the same problem with gnome-mines, but I solved it manually.
Start up gconf-editor and search for gnomine (assume its the same for
aisleriot).
Went to /apps/gnomine and unclicked FullScreen and changed height and width
from 1680x1050 (which is full screen for me) to something smaller.

I can not copy or move files with Nautilus to a vmware shared drive. I
assume it is because nautilus checks if the target filesystem has enough
free space. With other file mangers (e.g. Thunar) it works fine.

need to preview these in order to organize them. When I browse into the
folder with Nautilus (i.e. the Ubuntu default Gnome file browser, via
