I'm not sure how you attached gdb to the process to get the info you
posted (One day I'll get around to reading the rest of that man
page!)...but I will say that I have definitely noticed that the
evolution-alarm-notify does disappear quite often...and with no notice
whatsoever...very annoying.
I can't reproduce this with 8.04.1 and 2.22.3.1-0ubuntu1 using IMAP, so
maybe it's related to the Exchange plugin.

I can confirm this bug on my laptop in Intrepid Alpha 6, using compiz
with the open source ati/radeon driver (for which compiz is now enabled
by default). In Metacity, the problem does not exist, so it is Compiz

There is this line in the changelog for 2.23.1-0ubuntu1, which could be

Just to add that this is still an issue even when a password isn't asked
for. Clicking on volumes only mounts them and doesn't open a nautilus
instance for them.
This is also an issue in the Places menu on the main Gnome toolbar.
Every other entry causes a window to appear, but not volumes.

problem to be a regression over Hardy. Our maestro developer clarified
the functionality was not implemented in Hardy, so therefore the tagging

is opened, it will always show ONE screen only (calling it Cloned),
