UPDATE: I just checked if this is an issue with only CDs and not DVDs
and it turns out that it actually is an issue with mounting CDs as
mentioned above! When I insert an audio CD, all desktop icons disappear

I am experiencing this bug even with Jaunty final release. I installed it fresh
on my desktop (not an upgrade from Intrepid). When I insert a movie DVD, I can
play it with VLC so I guess the mounting part works okay. But when I insert a
blank CD to write stuff on to it and click either on
Openchrome it is driver for your graphic card Chrome9.
Could you also please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach
your /var/log/Xorg.0.log

it's done automatically when gnome sets resolution of laptop display and

Sorry for the late reply, finally got around to getting an image of 9.04
and can confirm that the bug is no longer present. When the sound gets
to the point that the looping would begin the sound is stopped.

This is still an issue in Jaunty with default Kernel and 2.6.30-rc3.
Btw. it is an acpi issue which happens under Win too so obviously it needs a
quirk.
