This is always the case for me on an Asus EEE 901. Touchpad sensitivity is very
slow, and the sensitivity slider (System->Preferences->Mouse) does nothing. The

That icon is actually the indicator-applet. Evolution has no control
over the position of that, and because it is a panel applet by design,
it won't appear in the notification area. You can drag the applet
anywhere you like with the mouse though.

I undoed a move (which changed my pawned into a queen). I cannot play
anymore, clicking on a piece does nothing. I still can navigate through
history but cannot play anymore.

Hi, just a follow up, to sort out and avoid misconceptions.
I came along finding users having the problem that places menu open with a
specific application, e.g. Totem, VLC, which wasn't expected, (especially after
a dist-upgrade).
Hence I think, this might be one reason for removing this tab,
It's a Pidgin plugin, actually. So the bug should probably be
transferred to Pidgin. A similar bug was reported on Pidgin under
8.04, but the music player was VLC. That person is upgrading to 9.04
now, and will update his bug report.
It was suggested that I report this directly to Pidgin developer
