Upon updating to Karmic Beta, Rhythmbox has each FLAC file listed twice
in my library. MP3 files are listed only once. When I remove the
duplicate entries from Rhythmbox, the next library scan adds them back.

This crash happened to me while trying to play a network audio stream
(either while waiting for a reply from the server, or deciding that it
wasn't going to receive a reply). I'm using the jaunty version though
(0.12.0-0ubuntu4).

rhythmbox assert failure:
Macbook 4,1 here. Brightness keys still don't work, while e.g. Volume
keys do work. Using xev, I get KeymapNotify events pressing Brightness
keys, but don't get KeyPress/KeyRelease events (neither with the Volume
keys).

Same for me. I believe the problem lies in the wrong calculation of the
virtual desktop-size.
I got two 1280x1024-Monitors, and in xorg.conf the follwoing parameter is set:
Virtual2048 2048
It should be:
Virtual 2560 2048
If i change it manually, it works immediately.

I have a collection of documents scanned using nuance paperport/omnipage
windows software. Using evince as my document viewer in both hardy and
jaunty every document splits into two layers- a faint background layer
containing the whole document hidden by a foreground layer
I didn't mean to remove the sound file. I meant disabling GDM from
playing the sound.

Nope it does change anything! evince comes up as a completely blank
window -even without a toolbar. This isn't a mime type issue -
something more fundamental has broken. xpdf renders the pdf's just fine.

(/desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icon, menus_have_icon), remember to not
to run it with sudo, because that changes settings for root (and that's why you

I confirm that this is evince's fault. It currently hardly manages to
print just about any PDF correctly, either it spawns a gs which doesn't
ever finish, or it produces broken printouts. I downgraded to jaunty's
evince, and everything works fine again.

I will try the above. I should note that everything works fine in the
greeter, and has for some time now in Karmic. It's just that the
session ends up with the wrong layout.

Thanks for Your help.
It's interesting. If i write an email with evo, and attach this
test.tif, send it, evo can read it fine. If i write the same mail with
thunderbird, and try to read with evo, evo is hanging.
