[Bug 481797] [NEW] Gdm displays the full name of the user rather than the username
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm Gdm no longer displays the username but rather the full name of the user. This could be confusing for new users who need to login via tty in order to fix something following a tutorial or for those unable to use a mouse. I beleive that gdm should therefore either list the full name and underneath the username, or only display the username this would make it far clearer to any new user as to what you need to type in. [Bug 481830] [NEW] No way to return from fullscreen (top menu doesn't appear)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vinagre In Jaunty, when using vinagre fullscreen, you can move your mouse pointer to the top of the screen and then the top menu appears. [Bug 481528] Re: Volumes with photo MIME type do not have a camera icon
Hi Martin I checked out bug #472937 and I think this scenario is when the user has a drive that is powered on and connected before starting the session. Whilst my camera is connected to the computer before my GNOME session it is only in the physical sense (it sits in a docking station with a connection to the USB port). It isn't powered on before I start my session so in that respect it is not connected. [Bug 147150] Re: Mixed-mode CDs not automounted nor hinted for mounting
I have almost this same problem on Karmic. I use Kubuntu 9.10, and upon inserting a mixed mode CD, the KDE automounter offers me to play it as an audio CD or copy the CD with K3B. Neither of it will work, and I also cannot access the data part of the CD. Even worse, I cannot rip the CD with Grip. [Bug 461424] Re: mouse trapped no clicks even outside of window possible
For me, it doesn't seem to work for all images. I came across it when reading manga on onemanga.com. Perhaps it involves javascript? Example of how to get epiphany bugged: open epiphany and go to: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/471/01/ Click the picture and try to drag it somewhere. (The image will turn blue, a smaller copy of the image will follow the cursor, and the cursor changes to cursor+hand.) Repeatedly click/drag the picture while scrolling the mouse wheel. If this doesn't work for 3-4 tries, click on the image to go to the next page and try again. When the bug triggers, several things happen. The cursor freezes in cursor+hand mode (sometimes in cursor + plus mode), and mouse clicks stop registering. I can't click, right click, or scroll whell on anything at all. Mouseovers still seem to half-work. Mousing over the clock on the toolbar shows a date tooltip, but the clock itself doesn't highlight. Keyboard also half-works. I am unable to use alt+tab to switch to new applications. I am able to hit F11 and fullscreen toggle epiphany while this is happening. I can alt+F2 to run new applications and windows. I can use my hotkey to open up terminal, etc. Opening up new applications switches focus to it. I can't switch back to any previously opened applications though. [Bug 430811] Re: evince prints files scaled to portrait orientation, despite needing landscape
It seems to me that upside-down printing (where you can just flip the paper) is much better than the current situation in karmic-final, where it just crops half of the page. Do people agree? I'm inclined to count this as verification-done, if there are new bug reports about the remaining issues. +1 -- evince prints files scaled to portrait orientation, despite needing landscape https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430811 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I tried to reproduce this bug on another computer running ubuntu 9.04 and nautilus 2.26.2 There, folders are never shown as open. The orientation can be changed in page setup (File-Page Setup). So, actually, the problem is a wrong preview in the dialog.
