Additionally, the 06_use_application_indicator.patch omits #ifdefs
around one chunk of appindicator-specific code, breaking the compilation
for --enable-appindicator=no. The attached diff is a patch to that
patch, fixing both problems reported.b

Running Ubuntu 10.04 32-bit, Problem appeared a couple of hours ago, after
installing Samba!
Removing Bazaar solved the problem.
Without installing Samba the problem never appeared.

When a Web site communicates a calendar object (meeting, etc.) it offers to
download a .ics file.
Currently, the only way to insert that object into Evolution is to (1) Save the
.ics file to disk (2) In Evolution/Calendar, choose Import,

I just tested Maverick and it also has the bug.
So does anybody know if the fix that exists upstream can be backported?
I was unable to get a response from the developer in the upstream bug
report about this.

Mmm... I must have done something wrong before, because it appears to be
working properly now.
I am using Zend Studio (Eclipse) to write to files in the .gvfs hidden
directory.

Frankly friends, this bug began as impacting those who have Pioneer
optical drives. Further, for those of us with Pioneer drives (I am the
OP and I have one), it seems like this is fixed in Maverick (and for
some with a patch or two for lucid just prior to maverick -0 see above
comments.) Might

logging into a session as root. It is not obvious why that use-case
would not be supported.
