OK, I can can see the reason for the different behavior of Language Support
when it comes to the main window.
As for the reason why I double-clicked, it just happened out of old habit,
it was not intentional; but sure double-clicking on Language Support should
only launch one
As a workaround, you can use gconf-editor to unset the gconf key /apps
/gnome-terminal/global/use_mnemonics. This disables the menu shortcuts
(only in gnome-terminal) so you don't have to turn off the menu with two
clicks in order to be able to use Alt+key in the terminal.

It's a easy way to preview audio files. Please, get us back this
facility
