i have seen the two issues one as defined above and the other is that what i
was chatting with my friend on the chat box there was a option appearing that i
have not read the message. thats quite innocent.i am attaching the

I ran that command and it returned true, and I found that
gpointing-device-settings had no effect on that setting.
Possibly unrelated... my touchpad wasn't working lately, but disabling and then
re-enabling in gpointing-device-settings made it start

You could achieve that design only by adding a pixmap to be used as sidebar
background.
BUT the toolbar size could change depending on the font dimension, that means

The patch that was posted in the gnome bug 661118 actually makes transfers
possible again.
Sent the patched vertion to my ppa:rye/ppa which should have the packages built
in an hour.

I then tried to start Nautilus from an open shell and got the following:
