hits g_assert (device-priv-styli) when my Wacom

This bug appeared after today's Precise update (24.February).
The version of gnome-settings-daemon is (3.3.90-0ubuntu2) and it fails to
start with the following error:
me4oslav@me4oslav-laptop:~$ gnome-settings-daemon
** WARNING **: Name taken or bus went away - shutting
launcher is hidden by default and so we can have icon on the far left.
Well, that would be great, but implies another launcher behavior when
you drag an icon, right?
As is today the hidden launcher always pops up when you drag an icon on
the desktop which prevents you from using that leftmost

The glitch is intermittent and difficult to reproduce.
No apparent problem with xterm

Ok, I spoke too soon with that bug. It could not be about GS-D after all, but
it's still related to some basic Gnome-component, cuz it affects all the Gnome
sessions out there (yeah, I even tried building a custom one and it is still
borked).
P.S. I've attached the ~/.xsession-errors file :)
