Public bug reported:
I think that it would be really good if there was some sort of built-in
GNOME feature which would allow you to set a live wallpaper without
having to install a third-party application.

This bug affects Lubuntu i386 too. But it is possible to drag and drop a

I'm attaching a bootchart. I'm not sure if the initrd time is included
in this too? Because that could be the source of the additional time.
But subjectively it feels about twice as long to boot as 15.04 on the

@vaab Is it possible to place a pull request here on Lauchpad? Or could
you prepare a .patch to fix this issue on the development branch, and
attach it to this bug report?
That's scary! We're having late 2015, and this bug is still present in
14.10.3 LTS, even though a solution is know in detail.
... sorry, that should read 14.04.3 LTS. (Is it impossible to edit
comments in a bug report? OMG)

I don't think NSS should be mandatory. It is not required for rendering

I am not sure if I am just missing where this is verified earlier, but

unsigned int signed_data_len = r2.getInt()+r4.getInt();
unsigned char *to_check = (unsigned char *)gmalloc(signed_data_len);

Thanks for the improvements.
Regarding your 3 questions:

are people building more minimal versions of poppler that dislike
additional dependencies.
