Thumbnails can be provided by external components, that has not been
added in 7 years and is even less relevant today with wayland, closing
as wontfix for Ubuntu, feel free to reopen upstream though

Hello, I confirm I face the very same bug on my HP Spectre x360 G2 with both
17.10 and 18.04 beta (it was OK on 17.04):

Some strings of GNOME Shell are untranslated in the Czech translation on
Ubuntu 18.04 although they are translated upstream and when I try to
manually translate them on launchpad, I get this error: "number of
format specifications in 'msgid_plural' and 'msgstr[0]' does not mat
I can confirm this issue no longer affects Ubuntu 18.04, as recently
viewed items are removed upon deletion.
