[Bug 1779476] Re: Ubuntu 18.04: gdm3 does not switch to graphics after update

2018-07-14 Thread Mark Fraser
Recently upgraded 2 computers to Kubuntu 18.04 and I'm also seeing this
problem in that the Kubuntu splash screen stays up for ages. As I have
only just upgraded my only other kernel was from 4.13. Installing
haveged seems to have fixed it on one computer at least.

[Bug 1765356] Re: "Show Applications" button triggers too often on touchscreen

2018-07-14 Thread ragtag
This same bug affects me on Ubuntu 18.04 on a ThinkPad Yoga 12 (S120).
It double clicks all the icons in the launcher, so if I for instance
select Nautilus, it will open two Nautilus windows. As a workaround, I
was able to touch Activities, and then the application launcher, and it
would open correctly.

[Bug 1781723] [NEW] blocked in fullscreen mode with multi screen configuration

2018-07-14 Thread thisistylerdurden
Public bug reported:

I'm on Debian Stretch. I have a configuration with 2 screens via a
Nvidia card (last Nvidia linux pilote 390.67 installed). My main screen
(wich display all my desktop boards) is set to be over the secondary
screen and I use MATE as desktop environment.

When Gedit is opened in the main screen, I can switch from fullscreen to
window mode without any problem.

But when I have Gedit window in the secondary screen, if the window is
maximized and then I press F11, there is no way back to window mode: If
I press F11 again, Gedit switch to window maximize then imediately
switch back to fullscreen. I insist that if the window is not maximized,
there is no problem.

Also, if I am in maximized window mode and then I try to move the window
(click and drag), Gedit immediately switch to fullscreen.

Also, when I open a Gedit file with my browser, Gedit is launch in the
screen where my browser window is with the exact same mode than in my
last session. So, if I open it in the secondary screen and if I was
locked in fullscreen in my last session, I'm locked again!

[Bug 794929] Re: Disk Utility benchmark, x-axis undefined

2018-07-14 Thread Tony Travis
If the X-axis is %time for the benchmark read/write then why does it typically
decrease over time?
Surely the X-axis is the read/write speed at different positions 0-100% across
the disk, like access time?
