When dragging a file from Nautilus to another window (either another
Nautilus window or a GNOME Terminal window), and you hold down the alt
key while dropping, Mutter closes the connection to the target
application (which GDK handles by calling `_exit(1)` unconditionally).

1. Disabling them all (except the Ubuntu ones) in the 'Extensions' app.
2. Open a Terminal and run:
cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
rm -rf extensions
3. Log out and log in again.

That's true. My thought was that there is typically no reason to include
appstream in Build-Depends.
I don't know the reason why appstream and gettext ship different
versions of metainfo.its. Possibly there are cases where the appstream
version makes more sense. If there aren't, it may be
I guess this won't get fixed before the next LTS. Importance is still
"undecided" and it hasn't been assigned to anyone ... :/

I would try and figure out what chip is used in the Ultradock; It might
have been like the Cypress based one I had, which also worked fine before
