Sadly I don't think this is a bug in Ubuntu... Assuming you're using Xorg, the emulator is talking directly to Xorg (via Xrandr) to change the screen resolution. Gnome Shell is not involved at all. It is therefore the job of the emulator to restore the original resolution on exit. -- You
