I got the gdm3 package version 42.0-1ubuntu4 and still don't get Wayland. I

Is it possible a regression has occurred? Right now I do not have the

I believe Canonical is going to work on getting suspend working for the
Nvidia drivers as required by GNOME for Wayland
Sounds like Mozilla is doing the right thing, just the timing is
inconvenient for jammy.
It doesn't hurt live sessions because those are Xorg anyway. But after
you install, if Firefox is still using Xwayland for Wayland sessions
then you will see Firefox has:

After updating gdm3 from 42.0-1ubuntu2 to 42.0-1ubuntu4 in jammy, it no
longer shows any sessions in the bottom-right corner. When I log in, I
am dropped into an X11 session, with no way to switch to Wayland.
Downgrading the gdm3, gir1.2-gdm-1.0 and libgdm1 packages to
Evolution and Online Accounts seems fixed in Jammy now. However devhelp
still cannot display documentation pages. Maybe unrelated issue?

boot. RTX2060 running on nvidia 510.60.02. When gdm3 actually starts

specific checks in 61-gdm.rules that are no longer guarded by a check

a good way to test NVIDIA support I would say.

The ibus-unikey behavior in this respect is not configurable AFAIK.
While the behavior is fine together with latin keyboard layouts, it's
problematic when you try to switch from a non-latin layout such as
Russian directly to Unikey.
