Dapper Drake.
I can't access the preferences from within rhythmbox; the program hangs when I
do that. So I should probably file another bug report on that? I do a clean
startup of rhythmbox; press preferences = hang.

Hi, a couple of points from gnome-pilot.
The 'invalid free' bug has just been fixed in CVS. I don't know why it has
only recently shown up (it was reported on fedora) as the problem code was
rather old. Anyway, that's a straight bug.
Another problem has also been fixed, which may have caused

Try starting '/usr/libexec/gpilotd' from a terminal window (you might have to
kill any running gpilotd process first using 'killall gpilotd').

which is fine. If you do that for a jabber contact it only asks if you

Upstream closing as fixed with that comment:
from all accounts of this problem I've seen, it's because users have restored
older evolution backups, manually copying 1.x data overtop of the 2.x data or
they used a beta version that didn't yet have the migration code written.

thank you for taking that upstream, we are are few people to work on the
Ubuntu desktop at the moment and it's not easy to keep up with the flood
of bugs and cool ideas people have for it. Upstream is probably the
right place to discuss something like that!

/usr/share/applications/*.desktop which have translations. The panel
menu titles come from the source code and are translated to the .mo
which is shipped with the language-package. I'm rejecting the bug since

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Does it depend
of the theme you use? Could you try with the fglrx driver if you have
that issue too? That's likely to be a videodriver issue...

I can see a flicker (for nanoseconds) too. This is as things are. I don't see
this as a bug, but as necessary drawing of X or GTK or whatever.
Firefox is not in the background for me. Please try again with recent Dapper.

I've found out that .wma files make Rhythmbox crash.
There might also be some mp3 which are named as such but are wma (it's just an
hypothesis).
