I understand the reasons for not including the help files by default,

Add/Remove Applications list? Right now, the user has to use the

Quickly browsing through the HIG I could not find any relevant points. I
agree that the balance of colours is nice. Having two greens side-by-
side is not right. What could be done is to swap them, and change
maybe the colour of logout. But agreed, not for Dapper.

Looks like the change is needed for the [scalable/devices] section too.
The other directories under scalable/ don't contain any icons so don't
really matter right now, but it might be worth changing them to Size=128

Thanks for the analysis James. Can you tell me, if we tell the
index.theme that our scalable ones are at 128x128, will it still use the
SVG's if it needs to say produce a 49x49 icon? There must be some
threshold at which it is better to scale the SVG *down* than to scale
the 48x48 PNG image
The freeze is fixed now. I don't need any special options for booting.
Now only kernel related problem with the machine is failure to get a
picture to screen after suspend-to-ram (bug #46064).

It seems to be a theme issue, since when using other themes this

and does hibernate work for you if you do:
sudo pmi action hibernate
from a Terminal. Does the same command succeed any better if you do if
from a terminal (Ctrl-Alt-F1).
