[Bug 49703] Re: Evolution marks all my mails as junk
Ubuntu: Drapper Drake Evolution: 2.6.1-0ubuntu7 I just use the Junk facility from Ubuntu. I have not configured spamassasin or bogofilter myself. Well, at least I did not know about bogofilter, but I see that it has been installed and it is version 1.0.1 I updated on the very day of the release. This has happened this week. The worst thing is that the emails were both marked as junk and as read. That made them disappear de facto. I do not know if this issue can be tracked by itself. Another thing is that in our mail server we have a local spam detector, that sets up a header in all emails, with X-Spam-Level: and then a number of asterisks '*'. I have a filter that filters on having '*' and then sets junk. However, the emails that disappeared did not have this header. Today I have restarted evolution. Hmm, gnome-cups-manager has msgid: printing msgstr:printers with a suggestion in launchpad that it is translated elswhere as: Bezig met afdrukken. So this seems to be the reverse case. [Bug 49893] Re: Name of Configure Printers wrong
Right, these entries are in fact part of gnome-cups-manager. At the moment they are translated as: Printers configureren (this is the menu-tooltip) and Printers (this is the menu entry). I'll add a comment in the msgid that printing should not be translated as bezig met afdrukken here, to avoid future mistakes. But this should actually be added in the source because there could be confusion for other translators as well. So in the next langpack update (once a month) the new translation should land and all will be well. In the meantime, you can change the menu-items and the descriptions manually through the Alacarte menu editor. [Bug 38574] Re: Pb syncing treo 650 on dapper drake
I see this also with jpilot on an unmodified but updated dapper install - /dev/pilot or /dev/ttyUSB* doesn't appear until you press the button, but jpilot wants the button pressed after you've asked it to do something and it's bound to the port! I also get multiplying /dev/ttyUSB* devices. I blew up my old Treo a week or two ago and had to restore the backup onto the new one - not being able to do that was a disaster! Fortunately, my housemate's machine wasn't yet upgraded to Dapper and so I was able to copy my jpilot data across and use that. But still, please sort this out ASAP! If I can help with debugging, let me know. [Bug 49993] Abiword occasionally corrupts RTF documents
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: abiword Unable able to consistently reproduce, but this has happened to me twice in the past 24 hours. The exact steps that happen are that I'm editing a fairly complex and big rtf document, saving quite a bit (every major change), and so on. Eventually, I start to see slow downs (times when the mouse is almost laggy or applications aren't switching very fast), so I save my document and exit abiword immediately. When I reopen abiword and try to open my document I was editing I get Error importing file: filename.rtf. filename, of course, was the file I was editing. The first time this happend I just opened it in gedit and was able to recover my text. The second time this happened I vi'd the file and compared it to a good rtf I just made in abiword. The now corrupted RTF contained this at the very bottom: \pard\plain\ltrpar\ql\sl240\slmult1\intbl\itap1{\f1\fs20\lang1033{\*\listtag0} $40,950.00}\cell{\*\abiendcell}\row}{\*\abiendtable}\par \pard\plain\ltrpar\ql\itap0\par The known good RTF contained something like this: {\s28\f0\fs24\lang1033{\*\listtag0}\par}} So I just added two }} to the end of the corrupted RTF and I could open it and reedit again. ** Affects: abiword (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Abiword occasionally corrupts RTF documents https://launchpad.net/bugs/49993 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 49703] Re: Evolution marks all my mails as junk
It is confirmed: when Evolution marks an email as junk according to a filter, it also marks it as read. I have systematically seen this with several emails that are marked witha X-Spam-Level from our local mailserver. This behavior was not present before: emails marked as spam by our mailserver were moved to the Junk folder but not marked as read, so that I could verify the filtering. -- Evolution marks all my mails as junk https://launchpad.net/bugs/49703 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 48108] Re: PC sleeps makes breaks mouse input and hotkeys
Ok, thanks for the tip. I've added gnome-screensaver to this bug :) ** Also affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Changed in: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed ** Description changed: I will try to gather more info than this, but here is what happens: When I remote into Win2K3 Server with RDP the session works fine until the 2k3 server locks itself (goes to ctrl-alt-del). At this point my mouse is moveable, but clicking on anything does nothing. The keyboard still works and everything else seems normal, but I have to restart the X-server to regain the ability to 'click' on anything. Other users experience the opposite problem - local screensaver causes the same symtoms as described above... + + This is apparently related to gnome-screensaver, since killing gnome- + screensaver resolves the problem. -- PC sleeps makes breaks mouse input and hotkeys https://launchpad.net/bugs/48108 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 11894] Re: Sound Juicer should remember modifications to titles/artists after exiting
One example I've found where I disagree irreconcilably with Musicbrainz, is the Marilyn Manson track known as Spade or ♠. I prefer the ♠ spelling, while MB prefers the Spade spelling because they don't like to use Unicode in tags where it can be avoided. Thus I prefer to use my info for myself, rather than theirs, and a local cache is the way to do this. In this case, neither of us are wrong, we just have a different perspective on it. I also tend to rip my CDs more than once, as I generally rip to OGG but sometimes want something in MP3 or FLAC for some reason. Sometimes rips screw up because I have the wrong settings, or random other reasons. I prefer not to have to make my changes over and over. -- Sound Juicer should remember modifications to titles/artists after exiting https://launchpad.net/bugs/11894 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 49340] Re: Forgets Fit Page Width option on each click on the index
I use dapper. Up until now, I thought it was happening for all .pdf documents. After some research, I found some documents which don't exhibit the bug. Here is a link to a zip file containing several pdfs having the problem (try the first pdf in there): http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/flyspeck.zip From the sample documents I checked, I *think* it depends whether the document has a graphical frame around pages (ie images on the sides -- outside of the normal page area). All the documents I tried which haven't any frame worked, while all which have one didn't. But well, of course, it might just a coincidence... -- Forgets Fit Page Width option on each click on the index https://launchpad.net/bugs/49340 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
