[Bug 74070] Re: Google Calendar ics support

2007-01-08 Thread Hannes Holm Ovrén
I also have this problem on Edgy.
Importing a calendar from Google Calendar (using the private ics address)
usually works (but sometimes throws an cannot resolve hostname error) but it
does not sync. Or, it has synced once, but that is all. And I don't get error
messages.

hove99,

can you please do a 'cat /proc/omnibook/lcd' and post the result here?
It seems that this fix, broke my hal! I believe we use the same module

Thanks,

[Bug 36424] Re: oo2 failed to load file from ftp in nautilus

2007-01-08 Thread wvengen
Same problem for me with OO.org 2.0.4-ubuntu4.
I noticed a small difference in the error message for these two cases:

1. Start OO.org and open a file from passw-protected ftp
   -- dlg with general input/output error

2. Run from cmdline: openoffice ftp://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/file
   This opens the file, it works.
   Then open a file from the same ftp location using File-Open.
   -- dlg with Access to ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]/file was denied

Notice that, again, the password is missing here.

I got these error message on the console/xsession-errors:

(nautilus:4202): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: gnome-vfs-monitor.c: A monitor
handle was destroyed before it was added to the method hash table. This
is a bug in the application and can cause crashes. It is probably a
race-condition.

(soffice.bin:6857): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: gnome-vfs-monitor.c: A
monitor handle was destroyed before it was added to the method hash
table. This is a bug in the application and can cause crashes. It is
probably a race-condition.

The former occurs a couple of time in ~/.xsession-errors. I haven't been
able to reproduce them though.

[Bug 60373] Printing error with gnome-sudoku

2007-01-08 Thread Björn Röder
Public bug reported:

Hello,

using latest dapper, gnome-sudoku (0.4.0-2ubuntu3) and cupsys
(1.2.2-0ubuntu0.6.06) I recieve the following error trying to print
sudoku puzzles on my HP DeskJet 930C inkjet printer (hplib
0.9.7-4ubuntu1):

Printer output:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ENTER LANGUAGE=PCL3
17H10M126Ao-1M1-2Hu300D10L148D14E16Dp0Xg8W,,r1Ab2Mp86Yb33W 4x (without
quotations marks)

There seems to be no problem printing with cups-pdf (2.2.0-1). I
experience, however, the same kind of error trying to print that puzzle
from a generated PDF-file.

There are no problems with printing other files directly or through PDF.

If this error belongs to cupsys-package or any other please inform me.

Thanks
Björn

[Bug 60523] Help menu is ordered upside down and uses help instead of contents

2007-01-08 Thread Michael R. Head
Public bug reported:

GNOME sudoku has an odd Help menu. Almost all GNOME apps have this structure:
Help/
 Contents (F1)
 About

Gnome sudoku has this:
Help/
 About
 Help (Ctrl+H)

The HIG suggests the first structure, names and keybinding, but doesn't
see to explicitly prescribe against it. Still, it's really odd.

[Bug 58575] Re: nautilus+ftp ubuntu freeze when dialog box appear and dragging a file

2007-01-08 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Fixed with this upload:

 gtk+2.0 (2.10.7-0ubuntu1) feisty; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream version:
 * GtkNotebook
   - Tab reordering is a less intrusive
   - Rendering fixes on win32
 * GtkTreeView
   - Column resizing works correctly in right-to-left languages
   - Many scrolling bugs have been fixed
 * GtkTextView:
   - Improved scrolling during DND.
 * GtkRecentManager is more robust against bad URIs
 * Print support:
   - The cups backend works with 'BrowseShortNames Off'
 in the cups configuration
   - Multi-valued options are properly passed to cups
   - Fix build with cups 1.3
   - A few IPP compliance issues have been fixed
   - Make the lpr backend work on BSD
 * Input methods:
   - GtkEntryCompletion works with input methods
   - The Thai input method has been replace by a functional
 Thai and Lao input method based on libthai
 * Accessibility support:
   - GtkMessageDialog sets accessible name role explicitly
 * Theme support:
   - The semantics of the gtk-color-scheme setting has been
 slightly changed. Values from rc files are still merged
 together, but the X setting just overrides the prior table.
 * GdkPixbuf:
   - gdk_pixbuf_loader_write() now closes the loader when
 returning FALSE, as documented
   - The BMP loader supports more BMP variants, including
 transparency and 10-bit channels.
 * Bugs fixed:

[Bug 78431] Importing a cd in rhythmbox does not work

2007-01-08 Thread Damiano Dallatana
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

steps to reproduce:
1. insert an audio cd into your cd-drive
2. open rhythmbox
3. go to your cd on the left panel
4. select copy in your library (do not know whether it says like that, in
Italian is Copia nella libreria
5. nothing happens...

looking from the terminal, as I try to copy the cd in the library, rhythmbox
reports an error:
(rhythmbox:8341): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: RBLibrarySource impl_paste called when
gconf keys unset

and when I open rhythmbox from the terminal, it says
(rhythmbox:8341): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to start mDNS browsing: Il

[Bug 78428] rhythmbox crashes editing tags of an mp3 file

2007-01-08 Thread Lorenzo Sfarra
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Hi.
In edgy (gstreamer 0.10.10), I've an mp3 file that is correctly reproduced (and
shows me info like Genre, Album, etc...), but when I try to edit the tags
of this song (right click on the song - properties), rhythmbox shows me an
error dialog:

Error while saving song information
Internal GStreamer problem; file bug

Note that there are no problems with other mp3 files, and that in feisty
(gstreamer 0.10.11) there isn't this problem.
Note also that there are no problems with another tag editor (id3v2).

[Bug 78441] Re: [Feisty] Crash displaying pages in the Amazon Online Reader

2007-01-08 Thread edschofield
Ah, libflashplayer.so appears in the stack trace, so a likely culprit is
my Adobe plugin. (But after removing libflash0c2, libflash-swfplayer,
and libflash-mozplugin, I can't reproduce the crash. Perhaps these
conflict with the Adobe plugin. Damned Flash.)

Epiphany-browser still has the following bug, IMHO: it allows a buggy
plugin to crash the epiphany process. Could it be made more robust
against rogue plugins?

Hi,

Chris Wagner [2006-12-20 23:58 -]:
 I'm going to close this, as the bug seems to be fixed in Edgy, and
 according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates, this bug is
 probably not serious enough to merit an update to Dapper.

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

[Bug 41204] Re: Incorrect permissions when accessing an auto-mounted NTFS partition in nautilus.

2007-01-08 Thread Florent Mertens
This is not a nautilus issue.
With only defaults for option, an ntfs partition is mount with :
ro,uid=0,gid=0,fmask=0177,dmask=077
making it unreadable by non-root user. So the permission error is normal.
The problem would be the way the installer set up the ntfs partition, but since
edgy, it is set with nls=utf8,umask=0222, so this is no more an issue.
So i'm closing this one. Feel free to reopen it if you don't think it is fix.

[Bug 78500] gnome-control-center wipes out /home/user

2007-01-08 Thread thelinuxguy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

How to reproduce : start gnome-control-center, select (the old) disk-

remove starter from the popup menu. As a result of this, you'll find
you're /home/user directory wiped clean ! :-( I've just lost my whole
setup and all my documents, just doing these simple steps, I'm lucky to
own a recent disc-image of that partition. ;-)

Partion Info: /dev/hda8 - reiserfs, containing /home only
OS: Ubuntu Feisty Fawn

Re : [Bug 69552] Re: Firefox don't play videos with totem-mozilla plugin

2007-01-08 Thread domak
Hi Sebastien,

Sorry for the delay but I was in holiday. After the bug report I have
manually installed MPlayer and I have to investigate what I have done to
coming back in the same environment before sending you an example.

Best regards and happy new year

Christophe

let we know if you figure something, uninstalling mplayer and
reinstalling totem should probably give you a configuration similar to
the one you had before,
