that's slower, the sftp method should probably do the same, that's why
the bug has been confirmed, that's an upstream problem though

The latest duplicate ( Bug #87631 ) also mentions a slightly different
twist on the problem: when the application popping up a logout blocking
dialog is underneath another application on the same desktop, the logout
blocking dialog can't be seen (nor the program selected using the window

Michael, thank you for your bug interest. The bug you used to comment is
a different one that the one you are facing though (duplicate from bug
#65822) which creates confusing. If you are not sure of what you are
doing could you rather open a new bug, the bugsquad will direct you to
the right place
To clarify - it is the group ID (PGID) that is the same, not the PID. A
simple "ps -ej" in the terminal shows each process with its own PID,
everything launched from the gnome enviornment sharing a PGID but other
programs with different ones, and most everything sharing the SID.

applications, that's not the right place, you probably want to open a

In Ubuntu Feisty Herd 4 the liveCD boots correctly and the
NetworkManager Applet (0.6.4) indicates a working wired connection.
However, Firefox and Gaim cannot connect to the Internet.
Left-clicking on the applet brings up the Network Set
No reply from the submitter and indication than the other crash file has
something to do with that, closing for now, feel free to reopen with the
asked informations if you still the problem

Thank you for your bug. That's not a package problem, translations are
removed from packages to be distributed with language-packs, the ones
for feisty are not ready yet due to rosetta and that's being worked.
