I cannot believe that all of sudden all the above mentioned application
do have a similar bug, susan has to file a bug at audacity, I at
mozilla, Juan Pablo at desktop-effects, Julian at rhythmbox, gnome-
dictionary etc, etc. I think there must be some underlining problem in

I have solved this problem myself. The issue was that Evolution was not
sending an FQDN as the argument to the HELO directive during the SMTP
conversation. When I edited /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts then I was able
to send email just fine.

It happens when leaving cdrom inserted and then reboot.
I'm using Nautilus 2.18.1 on Feisty.
My cdrom /etc/fstab line is:

/dev/hdc on /media/cdrom0 type iso9660
I've found that restarting dbus (/etc/init.d/dbus restart) fixes the

I think it might be worth adding something I have noticed: the bug is
more of a problem for shares where there are a large number of
files/directories present.
I am generally able to boot successfully if I only attach to small
shares (those with few files/folders in the root) but experience the

I've had this issue as well for a while. I've been overriding gnome-
control-center with 'xset m default'.
Mouse speed is normal at gdm. When I log in, it immediately goes to a
crawl. 'xset q | grep accel' reports acceleration: 3/10 threshold: 0.

OpenOffice can't save Documents wit (big?) png images anymore and with Krita
it's the same problem. OOo says, that saving subdocument content.xml has
failed. I didn't have this problem directly after adding the picture (I've

application, they just don't start or crash after a few seconds, look at
the examples above and if someone reports it it should be taken serious

You are commenting on the wrong entry then, this bug is about the glib
warning displayed on the command line and there is no indication those
crashes are due to it, there is lot of desktop applications displaying
the warning and not crashing

I'm closing this bug since Automatix isn't supported by Ubuntu, and
Google Earth isn't packaged in the Ubuntu repositories.

An strace revealed this:
access(/usr/bin/pumount, X_OK)= -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/bin/pumount, X_OK)= -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/sbin/umount, X_OK)= -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/bin/umount, X_OK)
Just thought I would add that this is happening under Gutsy since my
report doesn't show on the Gutsy list for some odd reason.

Looking a little closer into the source code it appears that n-c-b is
being compiled without gnome-mount support. Something is wrong in the
autotools stuff such that it doesn't find gnome-mount and refuses to
enable it.

[feisty] nautilus-cd-burner does not umount device and fails to erase
Christer, thanks for the research into this. Yes, it does sort of sound
like maybe gnome-keyboard-properties is doing something improper. I've
added control-center to this bug. If someone can confirm that it's
being done by that tool, then it can be handled there.
