I think what the original bug report is saying is that font changes are
no longer applied on the-fly -- now you have to restart Xorg to apply
font changes. This is a massive regression in my mind, and the bug
should be titled as such.

This is a patch (debdiff) to do a fadeout when you go to System->Quit
and compiz is running. It draws a fullscreen window and scales the
opacity from 0 to 0.5. I had to change the window type to TOPLEVEL

The only thing that comes to my mind right now is that something is
hosed under the ~/.evolution directory. You can try two things:
1. rm -rf ~/.evolution/calendar (since it is the calendar init that is
failing)
or
2. rm -rf ~.evolution (since this user has not really used Evo so far).

So I went and gave it a try under gdb. I decided to give it a fist run
without breakpoints, and I was surprised to see a three errors being

Hmm Well it has been a while since I looked at it but all I did to
create the bug was use the GUI user-admin too to reassign a user to a
group. I noticed after that that directories the users should have had
access to they did not. Further investigation showed that they were not in
the group
