Anyway, the .ogg vorbis files are not recognized in gutsy. This is a
regression, as they were previously automatically associated with Totem

Not sure if this is definitely the solution, but MP3 playback seems to
be working once again after I got the updated gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
(0.10.6-0ubuntu2).
The esd error still shows in my terminal upon launch, but honestly, I
don't know if that had anything to do with this problem.

too), so I guess this is a problem gstreamer.

[gutsy regression] rhythmbox is having trouble with many podcast feeds
https://bugs.launch
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Rhythmbox has recently lost the ability to download a number of podcasts
that have been working for a long time from different hosts (they work
on my feisty box). I _believe_ the problem appeared when gstreamer was
updated to version 0.10.14-1ub

Binary package hint: evolution
When composing a message, the "Attach" button seems to be missing its icon.
It shows instead what appears to be a blank piece of paper with a red cross on
it.
