retry 30 to --retry 2 in /etc/init.d/gdm, now there's only a almost

Upon further inspection this seems to be caused by nautilus trying to
regenerate the thumbnail each time, and
only happens when zoom is set to higher than 100% (150% in my case), so it must

I have a similar issue running Ubuntu Hardy from live cd. The audio
plays but the video doesn't play. totem --debug Experience\ ubuntu.ogg

(1.2412) because I need to set my locale (pt_PT.UTF-8) in fstab for all
my ntfs partitions, and the version in hardy won't mount as user (check

I'm not sure if this is related, but I've had the same issues on my
machine. I'm using a Gateway Solo 5300 with 512 MB of RAM (the maximum
it supports). At one point in time, when this laptop was brand new from
the factory, it had Windows ME on it. I used this laptop to rip CDs all
the time during
I almost forgot: If it would help developers to have SSH and/or VNC
access to my machine for testing purposes, I'd be more than willing to
provide access.

I had the same issue. Fspot then seems to have made the directory, but
not used it.
My photos were added to ~!

Ok, we know that pommed works. addon-macbook-backlight in hal doesn't work.
Thats strange, because pommed code and hal code are basically the same for
adjusting the Macbook brightness.
The introduction of PolicyKit/ConsoleKit broke that part of code in hal.
