ok, I have found some extra info. I was unable to replicate the bug with
Compiz running, so I switched it off. I was then able to replicate but
was unable to switch Compiz back on. In searching for a fix a came

Dependencies that are installed by libedataserverui1.2-8
Agreed that the dataserverui library might be needed by gnome-panel,
since it shows up in popcon as very recently used. But the following
dependencies have no business sitting on a system that does not use
Evolution.

I have been having the same or similar problem. I would open Firefox and it
would only be maximized and could only get out of it by going to file-close or
alt-tab to another application to get the Gnome menu and application bars to
minimize it.

I have AGP version of ATI HD 2400PRO. My GDM randomly crashes and then I
get back to the text mode. Last time in the text mode I saw an error
report in my /var/log/gdm/:0.log file, so I attached it and I hope it

If this is turned into a gconf option, the functionality is still
broken. The strut should only need to change once; to the end point.
While it means we don't get a nice smooth animation, it will probably
feel smoother anyway because resizing windows is a very costly operation
for the time being.

reboot question window was empty and grey. after the reboot, the gvfsd-

1. "Grab" a file with the cursor, then try to move this file and, as you're
moving, hover it above the "Places" shortcuts.
2. The cursor gets stuck as the message drag-n-drop cursor and you can't click
