[Bug 283055] Re: gnome doesn't allow combining comma above
FROM xkb listserv: ||| * gr(polytechnic) - dead_psili (this should be 'polytonic') The first two cases have been fixed in GTK 2.14 recently, and I think they are in gtk-2-14-3. I really do home that Ubuntu uses the fixed GTK+. I think there was a sponsor (Theppitak?) that would make sure the patch, at least, makes it to 8.10. Sorry for not providing links for this; cannot access them atm. This major issue breaks about half of my DVD collection and still exists in this SVN build of resindvd. Please note, it does not exist with Hardy as resindvd was not used. 2. Seeking is still broken. 3. Trying to go back to menu during title playback is still broken. 4. Subtitle functionality is still broken. 5. Audio functionality is still broken. 6. Multi angle DVDs are still broken. Onkar, Im thankful for the work youve done with this and Im sure that when upstream is in a better state you will be able to help deliver a great DVD experience on Ubuntu with gstreamer. The problem is the changes with totem using resindvd for a production release version thats very shortly to be released is that the whole experience with gstreamer for DVD playback is much more worse than what it was under Hardy. [Bug 282940] Re: "Computer" not recognised by Nautilus
I am using vnc4server to login, I'd like to use x11vnc but there's a bug there that makes it unusable, bug #247669 and the source package to x11vnc doesn't compile, it is missing various Makefile.in files. When you login with vnc4server, dbus may not run and DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS is not set. In the gvfs-bin package, at the end of client/gdaemonvfs.c there's a thing there that silently returns if it can't find this variable in the environment. To fix I added a line i $HOME/.vnc/xstartup eval `dbus-launch --sh-syntax --exit-with-session` After that "gvfs-ls computer:" worked. But I couldn't click into my usb drive inside computer: There were some accessdenied errors with dbus but I fixed it by changing the "Volume" lines in /etc/dbus-1/system.d/hal.conf to "accept" instead of "deny" And then running the polkit-gnome-authorization to allow me to mount/unmount drives remotely. [Bug 216197] Re: no weather information in gnome panel
I still get this issue in fully updated Hardy. I had the problem with one location in America, my timezone being Europe/Berlin. The German sites had working weather information. However, America/Los Angeles never had any weather information. When I clicked to edit the location, the timezone said Asia/Yekaterinburg. From experimenting I know that the timezones are paired, that is, when I entered Asia/Yekaterinburg, I got America/Los Angeles on next boot. No weather though, also the deviant timezone is only shown in the edit location dialog and only when opened the first time. I tried reinstalling the panel, now I have no weather at all, Europe/Berlin always changing to something else (don’t remember exactly what, remember that it only shows up the first time). -- no weather information in gnome panel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 284663] [NEW] [Intrepid] X Window System error on startup
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot [EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~ $ f-spot [Info 23:58:17.612] Initializing DBus [Info 23:58:17.741] Initializing Mono.Addins [Info 23:58:17.901] Starting new FSpot server The program 'f-spot' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'. (Details: serial 339 error_code 1 request_code 158 minor_code 19) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) [Bug 284666] [NEW] The vertical bar of the blinking text cursor leaves a trail down the compose text window when using Compiz
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable Compiz. 2. Open Evolution and start to compose a new message. 3. Check that you have the auto spell checker enabled. 3. Type some garbage text lines, in order to the spell checker underlines the text with a dotted red line. 4. [Bug 242289] Re: Jamendo streaming issues: Can't skip to further back in recording; Doesn't buffer enough before playing
I'm now using Intrepid 8.10 Beta. I haven't seen this happen so far (it seems to wait to buffer for long enough), but I'm not a regular user of Rhythmbox. I need to wait for the Internet to get really slow to test this. In short, I haven't filed a bug upstream, but this may not be a problem anymore and I'll have to wait until I can test this. If I do end up needing to file a bug upstream I'll post a link here. -- Jamendo streaming issues: Can't skip to further back in recording; Doesn't buffer enough before playing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/242289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
