It is however sensitive to the zoom level. In xournal, maximize by
clicking the set zoom button, then select page height.

Isn't this properly fixed in intrepid? AFAIR (I am not using ubuntu
right now - since I am not on my PC) rhythmbox has now no icon by
default. If you enable the notification area plugin then it minimises.
This is in my opinion a very good fix - but maybe I remember one thing
for another :)

Running 8.10 on Toshiba Satellite a135-s4527.
Same thing here: Thought i needed a new battery but the problem comes
and goes. Sometimes i'll only get 30 minutes run and it will shut down
