This is a very useful function for users which have not jabber account

doesn't support it.

just dying in the background, so I ran it from a console for a while
until it crashed again.
As soon as it tried to fetch mail, it died. Upon re-starting evolution,

I tried to do reproduce this issue here running Ubuntu Lucid but works
fine for me (under similar conditions). This is that I did such as a
possible work around:
1) Create a new shorcut with name Capture Area and command
/usr/bin/gnome-screenshot --area
2) Then assign a shortcut to execute this

For what it's worth, I run two partitions on my laptop; one stable and
the other the latest alphas. The applets in the stable version of Lucid
is normal while I'm experiencing the same issue on the one that began as
Alpha 1.
I also have a desktop similarly set up with the same results.

It would be nice to have this hidden feature return to the preferences
GUI. I'd also want the avahi broadcasting limited to the same network
interface (ie: local) or the option to disable avahi broadcast.

Remote Desktop - only accept from localhost option does not work
This bug shouldn't be marked as low importance. This is an usability
issue that impacts the very first impression of ubuntu.
As an example, I installed Ubuntu in a netbook for my parents.
Because they value simplicity, I made the netbook login automatically,
opening the web browser and skype
