You are correct. As the originator of a bug report concerning ubuntu
remembering settings and another re my above post, the two were combined
by the team(?) a long time ago. As this thread is combined with other
duplicates, I assume(d) the developers saw them as the same 'bug to be
fixed'.

Yes, the problem is when russian layout set as main (first). When I set
USA, or spanish layout first Ctrl-c works fine. For test I use command
vnstat -l -i wlan0 or ping 8.8.8.8.

agree. the fix to Rhythmbox seems not to have been released. But something
did change, cause my mt-daapd does not crash anymore. So what was it? Ubuntu
server, from 8.04 to 10.04? mt-daapd on Ubuntu 10.04 versus 8.04? Or... ..

Boy, how ugly things could get.
I was wrong about X not crashing. It indeed crashes once.
I have here a custom built from latest git trees x server, and it is of course
ubuntu hack free...
So it turns out that plymouth (or whatever the name is) makes X crash, and
ubuntu xserver carries a patch
There is a gedit-plugin available that does great things with tabstops and
indets, called elastic tabstops, see

It does what i asked for and many things more, but it is terribly slow.
A few kilobytes of code will slow the editor down to be almost

This doesn't seem to be the bug Pedro Villavicencio pointed out. I think
it's a gobject introspection problem: seed can't find
GLib.main_context_iteration, so it can't run the function that
initializes the light buttons. Workaround: comment out line 103 of
1 - 100 of 138 matches
