Nautilus uses totem do display video information and totem uses different
libraries than mplayer. For the video for which you do not get the info in the
properties tab: Can you play it using totem? Can you see

Indeed these files can't play in Totem. Totem can't play quicktime files
at all. When I try to, it searches for a quicktime multiplexing plugin
which it doesn't find (well whenever Totem searches for a plugin it
doesn't have, I've NEVER seen it find it in my

To replicate you need to select a Network other than the top one in the

Thanks Doug added gtk+3.0 packages all is well with running nautilus
now.

thanks for the info.
when I run 'ubuntu-bug _usr_bin_gnome-control-center.1000.crash' it give me
those error[1]
but I can sure my system is update.(sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgarde
before report bug)
what should I do now?
btw the way I am using the 'awesome' session. not
I had the same problem until I turned off crossfading (Edit -
Preferences, Playback tab, uncheck Crossfade between tracks).
Crossfading never worked with MP3s, so no big loss.
