Are you trying to set the alias of MSN or non-MSN accounts?
If you're trying to set the alias of non-MSN accounts and it doesn't
work, that probably means the prpl (libpurple protocol plugin)

Here's a screenshot. I don't use unity-2d, and suspect it's not
affected, so I wouldn't say this bug also affects metacity. And even if
unity-2d was affected, it wouldn't affect metacity, as it's in the Unity
panel, not the window titlebars.

On Xfce4.8... and Gedit 3.2.3, I cannot GRAB or DRAG the scrollbar.

X.org does not manage the brightness settings directly itself (although
the kernel video drivers do provide it as an interface.) It is possible
this is a problem in the settings service. Reassigning.
