[Bug 962701] Re: samsung k3jqb(mtp) sync library crashes
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962701 Title: samsung k3jqb(mtp) sync library crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/962701/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 962525] Re: cant download no programs i have no encrytion key
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 961286] Re: HDMI audio device detected by the system but not listed in Sound Settings
Now it works, thank you! Just a consideration: required = ignore completely fixes the problem for this system (it's a Nvidia ION netbook). On the contrary, on another computer ( AMD graphics desktop, open source drivers) this is the situation: - default : hdmi not detected and not working. - required = ignore : hdmi not detected and not working - required-any = ignore : hdmi detected but not working So, ignoring the fact HDMI audio isn't working while it should (this is not strictly related to this bug), the first and the second behaviors are what we would expect, while the third shows an option detected but not effectively available. [Bug 960757] Re: whoopsie crashed with SIGSEGV in g_object_newv()
Can you please first upgrade whoopsie to 0.1.20 or later. Then please edit /etc/init/whoopsie.conf as root (sudo gedit /etc/init/whoopsie.conf) and just below the line that reads env CRASH_DB_URL=https://daisy.ubuntu.com, put env G_SLICE=always-malloc. So the file then looks like this: ... env CRASH_DB_URL=https://daisy.ubuntu.com env G_SLICE=always-malloc ... Then run `sudo restart whoopsie`, and report back here on whether that stops the crash in whoopsie from happening. The dialog that appears will say Ubuntu has encountered an internal error, but if you hit Show Details, the Package will be whoopsie. To be clear, you may get crashes that say Ubuntu has encountered an internal error, but we're only concerned about ones for the whoopsie package in this bug report. [Bug 963042] [NEW] Should make use of existing .netrc when connecting to ftp server
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Set up a ~/.netrc with credentials for a given server 2. Verify that automatic login with those credentials works when using command-line ftp 3. In a Nautilus window, select Connect to Server, enter given server and choose FTP (with login) as type What happens: Nautilus prompts for login credentials (User name, Password) with nothing in the fields pre-filled. What I expect to happen: For the fields to be automatically filled with the credentials I've already specified in ~/.netrc. Additional info: Nautilus apparently has its own way of storing credentials (i.e. different from ~/.netrc). When it has credentials of its own for a server, those should obviously come first. But when it doesn't, it should utilize ~/.netrc if possible.
