[Bug 854619] Re: gtk-logout-helper crashes and says it doesn't have enough free memory even though there are 7GB of free memory available

[Bug 984637] [NEW] [soundnua] moving running input stream fails
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1) Connect a USB headset so you have at least two sound card inputs 2) Start your favorite recording program - I've tested with both audacity and mumble 3) Make sure this recording program is set to record from pulseaudio and start recording 4) Open gnome-control-center and change the default sound input from one card to the other. Re: [Bug 983697] Re: evince crashed with signal 5 in g_settings_get_value()
I started the upgrade on Mon Apr 16 evening. Afterwards, I left my computer. After return on Tue Apr 17 morning, I finished the upgrade (some do you overwrite your config with package maintainers config? questions and reboot). After first reboot, I got this problem and another one (not envince, a problem which apport told me is already reported). This happened only once, and I don't know why. I didn't know I have done something with envince at this point. Maybe I had it open during upgrade, but the crash was showed to me after the reboot. Over all, I had three crashed programs yesterday, this one, the one mentioned above (forgot the name of the tool which crashed) and I sent in as #983955 using apport. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/983697 Title: evince crashed with signal 5 in g_settings_get_value() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/983697/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 984615] [NEW] Wrong syndaemon settings in system settings
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Description:Ubuntu precise (development branch) Release:12.04 Problem: checking Disable touchpad while typing does not actually disable it (at least not on my new HP Envy 15). The settings it causes to be used are: syndaemon -d -i 2.0 -K -R -t This only disables taps, which causes the cursor to run wldly around the screen while typing. Not a problem! you say? Try using focus follows mouse, especially with auto-raise, then come back and tell me that :-) The correct settings are: syndaemon -d -i 2.0 -K -R This completely disables the touchpad while typing, for two seconds. My workaround was to uncheck the box and add syndaemon, with my parms, to the Startup Applications. This is maybe not a blocker, but I think getting a bug fix out on this sooner rather than later would be good. Putting the workaround in the release notes might also be a good idea. It could save others the hours of research I've put in. 2 seconds also seems a bit long, I'm going to try 1.5 and 1.25 and see how that works out. Let me know if there's any other info you need or anything you'd like me to test. [Bug 980466] Re: URL handler does not work correctly in Firefox after registering in gconf
Hi WenLong Feng, A Lotus Notes user opened the following bug which explains what should be updated: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xdg-utils/+bug/788673 Some further detailed instructions are here: http://jarrpa.net/2011/10/28/creating-custom-url-handlers-in- ubuntu-11-04-11-10-gnome-3-0/ Those articles say you should update the /usr/share/applications/LotusNotes8.5.desktop file (part of the ibm-lotus-notes package): 1. Add an entry: MimeType=x-scheme-handler/notes 2. Ensure Exec= line has a %u at the end However, the LotusNotes8.5.desktop already uses a variable at the end of the Exec line so a separate file just for url handling as the user suggests in the bug mentioned above. e.g. Create /usr/share/applications/LotusNotes8.5-url.desktop [Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Name=Lotus Notes 8.5 Type=Application Exec=/opt/ibm/lotus/notes/framework/../notes %u Icon=/opt/ibm/lotus/notes/framework/shared/eclipse/features/com.ibm.notes.links.feature_8.5.3.20110916-0921/icons/notes.ico Terminal=false MimeType=x-scheme-handler/notes Categories=Application;Office; NoDisplay=true This also uses NoDisplay=true, this stops the desktop file displaying in the menus or dash as there is already the LotusNotes8.5.desktop one there for that. After run: # sudo update-desktop-database This bug is now marked invalid, as the change needs to take place within your .desktop files. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gconf in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980466 Title: URL handler does not work correctly in Firefox after registering in gconf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gconf/+bug/980466/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 933550] Re: crashes after clicking on 'copy CD/DVD' again
Its seriously getting on my nerves. I've been copying a whole load of old disks to my hard drive so i could get rid of them - they're taking too much room. It works for the first time, but it shuts down after clicking Copy CD/DVD for the next CD, no messages shown as the bug description says. Its very annoying, imagine restarting Brasero a million times, look for the folder where the ISO should be changed AND change the image format. On top of that, for some weird reason, Brasero changes the current folder to my home folder when I choose a different format, which is very annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/933550 Title: crashes after clicking on 'copy CD/DVD' again To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/933550/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I was pointed to this bug after the Ubuntu Customization Kit crashed on 12.04.
