incompatible.
The effect of this is both mp3 & ogg encoding are unavailable & a "Install

In Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha "Quantal Quetzal", man gdm works. I'd also suggest
you read /usr/share/doc/gdm/README.Debian which explains a bit about
/etc/gdm/greeter.gsettings where you can configure several parts of GDM.

However, it looks as though there's an underlying problem, namely that
gdm's default PATH is hardwired, not read from system settings. If
/etc/login.defs changes (or the user changes it), this bug will reoccur.

Correction: libedataserver-1.2-15 is what I purged, just to make the

I started Online Accounts and added a Facebook account. Now when I run
Shotwell I see Facebook listed as a publishing destination in addition
to Piwigo.
So now I'm starting to realize: is this the expected behavior? The user
must create accounts for Facebook/Flickr/Google in Online Accounts, and
setting acpi=force in the commandline options of 'etc/default/grub',
solved it for me. My system missed only the last step of motherboard
powerdown.

autogenerated Fluxbox menu (while all the KDE games were there as
expected). I eventually discovered that Fluxbox's menu is generated by
the menu package, which looks for application entries in
/usr/share/menu/.

Purging libedataserver-1.2-15 seems to have done the trick - after doing
so, thunderbird is functional and I see just one instance of
libedataserver in /proc/*/maps
I still have 2 versions of libedataseerver on disk:

17.0 - with thunderbird 15.0+build1-0ubuntu1.

available in Software Center. They also consider IRC to be a tool for

and pushed the change to the desktop branch. Could you check through the
other account-plugin's to see if they need extra telepathy depends too?

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1030321, so is being marked as such.
Great! That drove me crazy until I found the option. I guess was
looking under Preferences, not Keyboard Shortcuts. It sure could be
easier to find. But I guess I'm not going to make an argument to
upstream, 'cause I don't have a clear idea what would be best.
