I am using Ubuntu 14.04 localized in Romanian. In this situation
creating new document adds fără nume (means Untitled) at the end of
the file name, after the extension. So if a have a template named Text
File.txt then creating a new Text File document results in Text
File.txt fără nume with Text

I had the same issue.
Hidden files shown on start-up.
After hiding them using CTRL-H and restart of nautilus, they where in view
again.
I managed to fix this by desecting show hidden and backup files in
EDIT-PREFERENCES-VIEWS.
After this was unselected the setting is remembered on restart

remove any debian/control changes from the debdiff.

with multiple columns.
I use evince 3.14.1 and poppler 0.26.5 on debian jessie.
