Public bug reported:
I'm having this issue, all other programs are scrolling as "Natural
Scrolling", just like Mac does, however only Terminal and File browser
have "Reversed Scrolling", they should be consistent across apps and
programs, maybe it's nautilus the one that inverts the scrolling?

After booting and logging in, it takes a long time for the computer to
settle down and become properly usable. Heaving hard-disc activity by
gnome-software which lasts for over a minute. This is revealed by
`iotop` as the only application with around 99% of the disk access.
Same here. Tried cleaning the recents list and removing all nautilus
settings, didn't help. Happened after upgrading to 16.10

Hello to you all,
I was not aware that this been filed as a bug! The matter of fact, myself and
many others thought of it as an advantage of gedit over other editors and we do
use it intensively.
Now, we do seriously miss it after upgrading to ubuntu 16.04 which comes

I confirm this bug with gedit, the calculator and text boxes in gtk3
-widget-factory. Changing the colour scheme in Gedit is a workaround. I
have this problem with my user, on Ubuntu 16.10 upgraded from 16.04, but
not logging in the guest session. So I guess the reason is some hidden
setting left
Just tried to reproduce-
opened gedit, typed something, tried to close without saving- out of X
session...

Cool. That would also be the nautilus-in-Xmir wallpaper bug I
encountered recently when you resize the desktop window. I thought it
was Xmir's fault but it's probably this one.

Because my bug report #1633824 was marked as a duplicate, I want to
point out that in my case all internal (built-in) disks and ext4
partitions are effected - not only externals drives - and this on three
different machines !
