Public bug reported: steps to reproduce: gnome-session-inhibit sh -c "sleep 10" Excepted result is of course wait for 10 seconds before termination. Actual result: Failed to open "sleep 10" That is causes because shell ignores the first argument that should be the program name. But inhibit

[Bug 1639513] Re: Pango-WARNING **: shaping failure, expect ugly output

2016-11-05 Thread Tong Sun
To duplicate the problem: 1. Find the first match of the font used for Pango menu: $ fc-match -s sans-serif | head -1 msyh.ttc: "微软雅黑" "Regular" 2. Copy & symlink that file into a different partition 3. Reboot! That's important, otherwise, I didn't see the problem or fix the problem. 4.

[Bug 1396048] Re: Evince misses font and only displays squares in menus

2016-11-05 Thread Tong Sun
I've got the exact same problem, and the cause is exactly the same as well -- It happens because of symlinks from /usr/share/fonts to a different partition. symlinking fonts to a different partition is quite harmless in my view, and Pango should not treat them any differently. Thus it is a bug
