[Bug 1673258] Re: Remove aptdaemon and drop or port its reverse-dependencies
Would be quite cool to make the language-selector use "localization" AppStream components to detect missing locale... That would also make it work easily with PackageKit. => https://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/sect-Metadata-Localization.html This would require some bigger effort though to generate the appropriate metadata (I will look into it though, since long-term I would like to have a solution like this at Debian as well). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1673258 Title: Remove aptdaemon and drop or port its reverse-dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptdaemon/+bug/1673258/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1133477] Re: cut-n-paste move files got stuck forever
Just ran into this issue moving a paltry 48 files. After hanging for five minutes I hit cancel and it continued to hang for another 10 minutes. Now instances of caja can't get directory listings. `caja -q` to shut caja down and now I can get listings again. If I F3 in Caja and drag-and-drop the files, they move instantly. Affects (at least) 53 people. Status: Confirmed. Importance: Undecided. Assigned to: Unassigned. [Bug 1673860] [NEW] systemd-resolved unit should run Before=network-online.target
Public bug reported: 1) Xenial, Yakkety and Zesty; (Xenial is affected if you're using networkd and resolved, but it's not the default) 2) 229-4ubuntu16, 231-9ubuntu3, 232-18ubuntu1 respectively to (1) 3) DNS resolution should be available once systemd has reached 'network-online.target' state 4) Sometimes systemd-resolved has not become active prior to network-online.target and DNS service is not available. The remaining issue for the systemd-resolved.service unit is that it needs to include a Before=network-online.target to ensure it's ordered to run before systemd reaches 'network-online.target' ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1673860 Title: systemd-resolved unit should run Before=network-online.target To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1673860/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1628439] Re: login loop on lightdm-greeter
I realized that .xinputrc was corrupted due to the fact that im-config was using an non official md5sum build! For that reason, the bus couldn't sucessfully complete its initialization and gvfs couldn't launch itself. With the use the official md5sum (from coreutils), the .xinputrc was corrected and I could launch the graphical environment automaticaly again without issue (sudo systemctl set-default graphical.target --force) The gvfs error was gone away from syslog.
