On my machine I'm unable to get any of the above workarounds to unlock the
keyring. Entering...
gnome-keyring-daemon --replace --foreground --components=secrets,ssh,pcks11
...ends in the terminal hanging at "SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/run/user/1000/keyring/ssh".

I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (2nd gen.) notebook with 14-inch
QHD (2560x1440) display, so I am well over the good old 72-dpi CRT

Even after applying all updates on Ubuntu GNOME 17.04, my Bluetooth
audio device doesn't show up in the Sound settings. The workaround
