I just tried that here with a ZTE MF112 3G modem.
I plugged it in and Mobile Broadband appeared in the Network indicator
dropdown. I then added the connection as you described.
When completing the wizard part the drop down is indeed blank, but
dropping that down showed me my connection.

update from 3.25.91 to 3.26.0, I attach it here.

- it seems that only snapd using the opengl interface are triggering this issue.
- "udevadm control --reload-rules" or "udevadm trigger" do not trigger the bug
- It only happens under wayland. Installing or removing the same snaps under
Xorg do not trigger the bug.

Using the qemu vga display under gnome is reliably causing gnome to
crash on my laptop. I've seen this when using libvirt and also when
invoking qemu from the command line. I've tried several display options
for qemu:
-vga qxl
-vga virtio
-display gtk

After updating to gnome 3.25.91, and now testing in 3.26, I cannot login
to wayland session, either ubuntu o vanilla gnome. Xorg session works
fine, and wayland session worked fine before updating.
The only error I can detect in the logs is "Unrecoverable failure in
required
ubuntu-settings has only default configuration overrides, the issue
there is between g-c-c/gnome-shell/gdm

I just did a clean install of the latest Aardvark daily build.
Everything was smooth enough and worked fine until I decided to see if
"Dash to Dock" offered a better experience than the new Ubuntu Dock.
Dash to Dock was installed through Ubuntu Software and replaced Ubuntu
