Agreed. Distinguishing between monitors serves no purpose. Like everyone
else I have strong muscle memory to look to the top right of my screen
when I want to see status indicators, or to look to the top to see the
time, or to move my mouse to the top right to change the volume. This

I can reproduce this problem briefly in 18.04 (where the memory usage

Every time a web page plays a video in Epiphany, a window named "OpenGL
Renderer" appears in the gnome-shell alt-tab list (but not in the
overview), one for each video. If I have several pages open with several
videos, I get several of these phantom windows. Selecting the

Trying to log into my session (Gnome, Xorg), if I enter the wrong
password before entering it correctly, the session doesn't load and I
get a purple screen, a mouse cursor, and an invisible but clickable menu

I used X11 more often lately and faced the same bug, so it is not
actually a Wayland only problem.
It seems the flash occurs only in the evening. So my guess is that the
bug is related to the Night Mode of Gnome that randomly deactivates
itself for one frame.
